Hot and humid with afternoon showers

Afternoon highs are expected to stay near normal in the lower 90s and rain chances increase to 40% this afternoon

ORLANDO, Fla. – Happy Father’s Day! Scattered clouds are expected to remain in place through the day with afternoon highs reaching 92 degrees in Orlando.

If you’re planning a beach day, keep in mind that that the UV index will be high. Use sunscreen and know that the rip current risk will be moderate.

Rain chances go up this afternoon, after 2 p.m., to 30-40% in Orlando. Most of the showers and storm activity is expected to stay west of Interstate 4. A few storms could produce gusty winds between 20-30 mph and frequent lightning.

Clouds and rain

Tonight, rain and storms are expected to come to an end for most cities but a few lingering showers are possible. Overnight temperatures are expected to fall into the middle 70s.

Monday starts off dry and muggy. Afternoon highs warm into the lower 90s with a 20-30% chance for isolated showers.

It’ll stay warm and humid through the week.
