ORLANDO, Fl. – Scattered rain and storms will continue to develop across Central Florida Thursday evening. As we celebrate the Fourth of July, many cities across Central Florida will continue to deal with high heat and numerous storms producing quick heavy downpours.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning for South Central Marion County has expired.
The great news is that most of the showers and storms are expected to fade away tonight before the fireworks begin.
Showers and storms may linger a bit past sunset from Lake County south into western Osceola County before tapering off around 9 p.m. fireworks shows.
Temperatures on Thursday will be above average, reaching the mid-to-upper 90s inland and low 90s along the coast. Orlando, Sanford, and Leesburg will be just a few degrees below record highs, around 97-99 degrees.

The high heat combined with typical humidity levels will push the heat index to 110 degrees for several hours. A heat advisory is in place for all of Central Florida until 6 p.m.
