ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida can expect a mix of sunshine and clouds Saturday with a 20% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Temperatures are expected to climb into the lower 90s, making it a relatively pleasant day.
Coastal hazards will continue through the weekend, including rough surf, a high risk of rip currents, and minor beach erosion. If you’re going to the beach, swim near a lifeguard and watch for beach flags.

Weather conditions may soon change as activity in the tropics could impact Florida’s weather next week. Two areas of low pressure — one over the Yucatan Peninsula and another in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico — are currently being watched.
The system in the Gulf is gathering strength, with conducive atmospheric conditions and warm water temperatures of 87 to 88 degrees. The National Hurricane Center has increased the probability of tropical formation to 70% over the next two days and 90% over the next week.
Should a tropical storm develop, it will be named Milton. Forecast models suggest a potential hurricane making landfall somewhere along Florida’s southwest coast. As these systems evolve, locals are advised to stay updated on any changes to the forecasts.
As the tropical system develops, rain chances will rise from 50% on Sunday to 60% on Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday, the area may experience tropical downpours, with temperatures dropping slightly to a high of 84 degrees. Significant rainfall is expected from Tuesday through Thursday, especially for regions along the coast.
