ORLANDO, Fla. – Weekend forecast
With just one week until Thanksgiving, you might be starting your holiday travel early. If you’re staying in Central Florida or traveling anywhere in the state, you’re in luck—the weather will be great, though we’ll experience the coldest air of the season during the mornings this weekend.
In fact, it will feel more like January than November. These will be the coldest November nights in Florida since 2018, with a chance of frost in northern Central Florida early Saturday morning.
Aside from the chilly temperatures, no rain or tropical systems are expected.
Most of the rest of the country will stay dry, but the West Coast and Northeast may see rain, strong winds, and snow at higher elevations which may cause some travel delays.
Thanksgiving outlook
For Central Floridians, the weather couldn’t be better. High pressure will settle over the Southeast, keeping things pleasant.
Mornings will be chilly, with temperatures in the upper 50s, but daytime highs will warm up to the upper 70s.
Just an isolated sprinkle is possible but overall great weather is expected for your festivities—enjoy!
For the rest of the country, long-range models suggest a few disturbances moving from west to east, bringing scattered rain to the East Coast and some snow in higher elevations.
These weaker disturbances will move along a mostly west-to-east jet stream around midweek.
The West Coast may have dry weather on Thanksgiving Day, but rain and snow could return as we head into the following weekend. This could change, as the uncertainty is quite high with this forecast.
