ORLANDO, Fla. – Thursday will feature another raw day with overcast skies, a breezy northwest wind at times and a few showers.
High temperatures will again struggle to climb out of the mid 40s with a 40% chance for rain.
Skies will try and clear by Friday morning which will allow temperatures to fall into the 30s across Central Florida.
The coldest morning of the Arctic blast looks to be Saturday when actual air temperatures dip into the 20s and 30s.
Parts of Marion County could make a run for the mid 20s which would mark a hard freeze. That is anytime actual air temperatures fall to 28 degrees or lower.
The Orlando area could even flirt with the freezing mark. Pipes will likely be OK if the temperature dips to 32 degrees as there will be limited time spent at or below freezing, however, areas north of I-4 should think about making sure exposed exterior pipes are insulated. If not, the water in the lines could freeze.
For areas northwest of I-4, the time spent below freezing could be in the 6-10 hour range.
