Cold weather alerts to start the weekend in Central Florida, warming trend to follow

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida residents, get ready to bundle up!

Freeze warnings will stay in place for Volusia and Lake counties through 8 a.m. Saturday, as well as in Flagler, Sumter and Marion counties until 9 a.m.

Cold weather advisories are also issued, as wind chill values might make it feel as cold as 27 degrees in certain areas.

For those planning weekend activities, there’s some good news. A gradual warming trend is expected starting Saturday afternoon, with temperatures rebounding to the low 60s.

On Sunday, the morning will still be cool at around 47 degrees, but the temperature is anticipated to climb to 70 by the afternoon. The following week promises even warmer days, with highs nearing 80 degrees alongside sunny and dry conditions.

If you’re attending the Rolex 24 or any outdoor events this weekend, it should be mainly dry but on the cooler side.
