Orlando now ranks 12th for the coldest on record

But as we wrap up the month, it looks like the chilly streak is finally coming to an end. Since Jan. 26, average highs have been in the 70s, which is helping to warm things up.

As a result, Orlando now ranks 12th coldest for January on record. If the warm trend continues, that ranking is likely to rise even further.

Other areas like Daytona Beach, Melbourne, Sanford, and Leesburg have also been in the top 10 coldest for January, but with the recent warm-up, those rankings may change in the next few days.

Daytona Beach has moved up to 7th place with an average temperature of 52.8 degrees, while just five days ago it was in 4th place. Melbourne now ranks 9th at 56.8 degrees, down from 7th, Sanford is in 8th at 54.9 degrees, and Leesburg has dropped from 4th to 8th with an average temperature of 53.4 degrees.

The next couple of days could shake things up even more as temperatures stay in the 70s.
