Cold front set to bring much-needed rain to Central Florida!

Weekend warm spell could soon be refreshed

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is expected to see a shift in the weather as a cold front moves through the region late Sunday into Monday.

Rain chances are set to be on the rise between 50-60% starting Sunday evening and continuing into early Monday morning.

Before the weather change, Central Florida can enjoy warm temperatures throughout the weekend. Saturday’s highs are expected to reach the lower 80s and upper 70s.

Sunday might bring near-record warmth, with temperatures climbing to 88 degrees in Orlando, just shy of a past record of 90 degrees set in 2024.

As the front approaches, there is a potential for severe weather, early Monday in northern areas like Marion and Flagler counties. Light showers are expected to move in late Sunday after 10 p.m. in a few locations.

The rain is expected to pick up as the front gets closer to Central Florida during the early hours on Monday.

Monday 5:00 a.m.

Most of the rain is expected to exit around lunch on Monday.

Monday afternoon is expected to be cooler with temperatures in the lower 70s. It will be breezy but clearing.
