Prepare for rain as a cold front moves through early Monday

ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is basking in warm and dry weather Sunday, just after the clocks jumped an hour forward.

Today promises to be excellent for outdoor activities, with highs reaching the middle to upper 80s.

The weather is warm with light winds, making it ideal for beachgoers. However, a cold front is expected to introduce significant changes overnight.

This front will arrive early Monday, raising rain chances to between 70 to 80%.

A few storms are possible and could turn strong to severe, producing gusty winds up to 60 mph, heavy rain, small hail and an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out.

Marginal risk for part of central Florida

As the cold front clears early Monday afternoon, it’ll stay windy. Tuesday will see highs of 75 degrees, gradually warming through the week to reach the upper 80s by next Saturday.
