Rain, strong storms move into Central Florida. Here’s when

ORLANDO, Fla. – Sunday will have the look and feel like an early Summer day in Central Florida. Rain, which will be heavy at times, will push into the area overnight. Expect scattered showers and storms before the sun comes up Sunday.

While there will be breaks at times, storm chances will be on the rise through the afternoon.

The highest storm chances will be late in the afternoon and linger through the early evening.

Rain chances gradually wind down late Sunday night. A few storms during the afternoon and early could be on the stronger side with localized damaging wind gusts and hail.

The heaviest rain, 1-3″, looks to fall in between I-4 and I-75.

Rainfall through Sunday night

Scattered storm chances continue Monday and Tuesday before dry weather returns to Central Florida heading into next weekend. A few storms could also be strong Monday.
