ORLANDO, Fla. – After a round of strong storms earlier this evening, rain is winding down across Central Florida.
Storms fired late this afternoon along our west coast sea breeze, then intensified as our sea breezes collided west of Orlando
While the storms are pushing offshore, there’s a chance for patchy fog overnight — especially near and west of the Orlando metro. If you’re out late or up early, plan for reduced visibility in spots.
Warming Up Fast — Feeling Like Summer
We’re heading into a warm stretch that’ll feel more like late spring or even early summer. Highs climb into the upper 80s and low 90s for the rest of the week, with heat index values pushing into the low 90s—especially west of I-95.
Weekend: Hot and Dry
If you’re making weekend plans, expect hot, mostly dry weather. Both Saturday and Sunday are forecast to hit 91°, with lots of sun and no real rain chances. It will feel like the mid-90s, so plan to take lots of breaks and stay hydrated.
Next Shot at Rain: Monday
Rain chances stay low through the weekend, but things change a bit by Monday. That’s when we’re watching for a 30% chance of showers and storms as the next front gets closer. Long-range models indicate we could see a nice cooldown behind this front, with highs in the 70s next week.
