Fire weather warning kicks in 12 p.m. for Sumter, Polk counties

ORLANDO, Fla. – If you’re celebrating Easter, you’re in luck — Mother Nature is bringing the sunshine!

Sunday starts off on the cooler side with morning temps in the 60s, but things heat up fast. Inland areas will climb into the upper 80s and low 90s, while coastal spots stay comfy in the low 80s.

Sunday Highs

At the beach, it’s shaping up to be a beautiful day: water temperatures are in the 70s, and a nice warm breeze off the ocean keeps things pleasant.

Skies stay dry with no rain in the forecast. However, be aware — a high rip current risk is in effect, so use extra caution if you’re heading into the water. The UV index is also high, so don’t forget the sunscreen!

Beach Forecast

A steady southeast breeze at 10–20 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph, will keep things feeling fresh, but that dry wind also boosts fire danger.

Fire Danger

A Fire Weather Warning is in effect from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Sumter and Polk counties, so be extra cautious with any outdoor activities.

Fire Weather Warning

Looking ahead, the heat sticks around. Afternoon highs will hover in the low 90s all week long, and rain chances remain slim.

Stay cool and stay safe!
