ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is in for a hot day, with afternoon temperatures climbing into the low to mid 90s for inland areas and the low to mid 80s along the coast.

Sea breezes are expected to kick in after 2 p.m. on Sunday, gradually increasing rain chances throughout the afternoon. However, any showers that develop will be spotty, brief, and not everyone will see rainfall.

Monday will begin dry and slightly muggy, with a similar weather pattern expected. As the sea breezes collide in the afternoon, rain chances will rise to between 40–60% across Central Florida, with lower chances closer to the coast.

Rain has been scarce lately — the last measurable rainfall in Orlando was just 0.01″ on April 11, and 0.27″ on April 1. As a result, this is shaping up to be the 12th-driest April on record for the city.

Looking ahead, there’s a slight chance (20%) of a few morning showers on Tuesday, but the rest of the week is expected to remain dry.
