ORLANDO, Fla. – With the next blast of cooler air preparing to settle into Central Florida this week, some emergency cold weather shelters are opening in Central Florida.
Forecasters said temperatures on Wednesday will see highs staying in the 50s and lows in the 30s & 40s.

Here are the counties where emergency cold weather shelters are opening:
Flagler County
The Sheltering Tree is opening a shelter on Tuesday and Wednesday night for anyone who is without heat, even if they aren’t homeless.
The shelter is at the Rock Transformation Center located at 2200 N. State St. The shelter will open at 5 p.m. and close at 8 a.m. the following day.

Volusia County
Two shelters are opening Tuesday night in Volusia County for people who are without a warm place to stay.
On the west side of the county, The Neighborhood Center’s The Bridge will be open. People need to arrive no later than 6 p.m. to secure shelter. The shelter is located at 421 S. Palmetto Ave. in DeLand.

On the east side of the county, Halifax Urban Ministries is coordinating with churches to offer shelter. If you need help, call the ministry at 386-317-5886.

Marion County
The Salvation Army will have sheltering accommodations in place for the upcoming cold weather for those who need to seek refuge.
The Salvation Army – Center of Hope located at 320 NW 1st Ave. in Ocala will open its doors for check-in beginning at 6 p.m. The shelter will also serve a hot meal for those needing help beginning at 5 p.m.

Brevard County
LifePointe Ministries in Titusville is opening at 5 p.m. to provide shelter in North Brevard County. The shelter is located at 4220 S. Hopkins Ave.
The shelter will provide dinner and breakfast before closing the following day.
Pets are welcome at the inclement shelter but must be crated in a separate building, the organization said.
