Missing Florida man found safe in Georgia; Purple Alert canceled

PALM COAST, Fla.UPDATE: A missing Florida man has been found safe in Georgia, authorities announced Tuesday.

A Purple Alert was issued for Samuel Mills, 21, but has since been canceled.

“Thank you to the Pooler Police Department for the assistance,” the FDLE said.

No other details have been released.


ORIGINAL STORY: A Florida Purple Alert has been issued for a man missing out of Palm Coast, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Samuel Mills, 21, was last seen in area of the 100 block of Coral Reef Court North, according to a missing persons flyer shared on social media.

Mills is 6 feet tall and weighs 160 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes, FDLE said. He was last seen wearing an orange and blue shirt, the flyer states.

Mills may be traveling in a black, 2007 Nissan X-Terra bearing Florida tag JD995K, investigators said.

Anyone with knowledge of Mills’ whereabouts is urged to call the sheriff’s office at 386-313-911 or 911.

Florida Purple Alerts were enacted in 2022 as a way to designate a missing person who may be suffering from mental or cognitive disabilities.
