TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – In March and April next year, Florida’s state representatives and senators will go to Tallahassee to pass a budget and create hundreds of new laws.
Next month, Central Floridians will be able to meet all of their lawmakers in one room and tell them what they want to see.

Before every legislative session, lawmakers hold legislative delegation meetings in each county. This gives residents, businesses, nonprofits and other groups the chance to talk about the issues they feel lawmakers need to address in a public setting, with others involved.

These meetings lead to funding requests that land in the budget, or even bills being filed with delegation support.
Almost every Central Florida county will have a legislative delegation meeting in January, and every county resident is able to attend and can sign up to speak. Lake County held its meeting in December.
Find information for your county below. While many deadlines to sign up to speak have passed, most delegations also allow people to speak on a first-come basis, so reach out anyway if you have questions.
