Cooler weather comes to Central Florida. Here's when the next round of rain is expected

Orlando to dip into 40s early Thursday

ORLANDO, Fla. – After a very active Tuesday across Central Florida, much drier and cooler air is moving into the region for your Wednesday.

By the afternoon, expect mostly sunny skies, with highs staying in the 60s as northwest winds blow at 10 mph.

Even cooler conditions settle in early Thursday morning, with lows dipping into the 40s areawide by sunrise.

Highs will stay steadily cool for another day on Thursday before we quickly warm up on Friday to near 80 degrees.

Our next chance of rain will return late Thursday and Friday as an old stationary front over the Florida straits lifts northward as a warm front before a developing cold front sweeps through a few hours later. Rain coverage will increase to 70%, with winds gusting upwards of 30 mph.

Once the front clears early Saturday, expect another quick shot of cool and dry air for your weekend as highs return to the 60s for the weekend.
