ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is turning a corner for the next few days as winds veer more northerly and Wednesday’s storm system pulls away.
Drier air will filter in, eroding the early morning cloud deck and increasing our sunshine into the afternoon. The added sunshine into the day will allow temperatures to warm into the upper 70s to low 80s on Thursday and Friday.

Our next front is forecast to enter north Florida through Saturday, turning our winds out of the southwest between 15-25 mph. This shift will quickly ramp up our temperatures by Saturday afternoon to near record-breaking territory in the upper 80s.
Expect dry conditions through Saturday, with rain chances returning to the forecast Saturday night and into Sunday.
Scattered showers and isolated storms will develop ahead of the front, with coverage up to 40-60% along and north of the I-4 corridor and a 20-30% chance for Brevard and Osceola counties. Some storms could become strong, with the capability of producing gusty winds up to 40 mph, occasional lightning strikes and heavy downpours.
With a stronger breeze anticipated with this front, favorable boating conditions through Friday will turn more hazardous Saturday through Monday. A small craft advisory will likely be issues due to rough seas building up to 7-8 feet.

Once the front clears by early Sunday, our 80-degree stretch will finally come to an end as more seasonal conditions return in the mid- to upper 70s through early next week.
