Another day with slimmer rain chances in Central Florida

10% chance of a few passing sprinkles

ORLANDO, Fla. – The winds are finally starting to wind down on this Friday as a ridge of high pressure begins to loosen its grip across Central Florida and as Hurricane Rafael pulls away.

Friday-Sunday:

Drier conditions are forecast to continue for Friday and Saturday with only a 10% chance of a few passing sprinkles as highs remain warmer than normal in the mid 80s.

Monday-Wednesday:

A weak and broad tropical low is forecast to move westward across Cuba and the Florida Straits.

Moisture will be on the rise by Sunday evening and into Monday with coverage increasing to 30%. An isolated thunderstorm cannot be ruled out into Monday evening.

Models do disagree a bit from Tuesday onward as the overall synoptic pattern remains a bit uncertain with the possibility of the arrival of a weak cold front Tuesday. Highs are forecast to drop closer to normal near 80 degrees with lows in the mid- to upper-80s by Wednesday morning.
