ORLANDO, Fla. – The coldest air of the season has officially arrived across Central Florida with wake up temperatures on Tuesday dipping into the 30s and 40s areawide.
Another cold front will move through the southeast on Tuesday afternoon, ushering in another round of cold weather. Expect afternoon highs to be 10-15 degrees below normal, with temperatures only reaching the upper 50s to upper 60s and plenty of sunshine. North winds will pick up in the afternoon, reaching 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 20-25 mph.
The cold, dry weather will continue through Wednesday and Thursday as high pressure builds over the region.
Wednesday will be another cool day, with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s under mostly clear skies with lows dipping back into the mid-30s to low 40s Wednesday morning, especially west of I-95 and in coastal Volusia. But when factoring the breeze, wind chill values could dip as low as the low 30s to mid-40s overnight.
For another night, there will be a potential for frost and freeze across parts of Central Florida.
A weaker cold front could bring a slim chance for isolated showers along the coast on Friday with highs staying below average in the mid-60s to mid-70s, with partly cloudy skies.
As we head into the weekend, temperatures will warm up, with highs reaching the low to upper 70s.
