ORLANDO, Fla. – The chilly choo-choo train continues for one more morning with wake-up temperatures dipping into the 30s and low 40s.
Frost advisories remain in effect for Lake, Seminole and Orange counties until 9 a.m. A freeze warning is in effect for inland Volusia, inland Flagler, northern Lake and Marion counties until 9 a.m.
After another freezing and frosty morning, Central Floridians will be able to enjoy a quick warmup by Friday afternoon as highs near normal. We’re looking at highs in the upper 60s to low 70s, as the breeze veers from the south.
TONIGHT
Later tonight, we will notice significantly warmer weather overnight as another cold front approaches the area. Added cloud cover and moisture should keep temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s with a 30-40% chance of isolated showers by daybreak Saturday.
SATURDAY
Looking ahead to Saturday, the cold front should shift south keeping a few showers around under mostly cloudy skies. In its wake, winds will shift to the northwest at 10-15 mph as temperatures remain slightly cooler in the mid to upper 60s.
Temperatures will drop again early Sunday morning back into the upper 30s to mid 40s.
SUNDAY
For Sunday and Monday, high pressure will settle back over the Southeast, keeping us dry with cool, northerly winds.
Expect highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees, with the coolest temperatures north of I-4. Overnight lows will dip into the 40s to low 50s.
NEXT WEEK
A weak disturbance could bring some scattered showers Monday night (40-50%), ushering even cooler air for the majority of next week with conditions staying dry and breezy.
From Tuesday through Thursday, temperatures will stay well below normal, with highs struggling to reach 60 degrees later in the week, with nights back down into the 30s. Depending on how the forecast verifies, we could see conditions cold enough for a Cold Weather Advisory again.
