Pleasant temperatures return and stick around in Central Florida

Temperatures to climb throughout the week following cold snap

ORLANDO, Fla. – After waking up with patchy fog across Central Florida Monday morning, the sunshine returns with vengeance as temperatures climb into the low 70s by the afternoon.

Tonight, temperatures will dip into the lower 50s for most, with some rural areas possibly hitting the upper 40s. Fog could be an issue overnight, so we’ll keep an eye on that as we head into tomorrow.

Tuesday’s forecast shows a weak front moving south across the area, bringing a spotty sprinkle or two through the early morning hours.

This front is not expected to bring any change to temperatures this week, with highs staying in the mid to low 70s Tuesday afternoon with lows back into the upper 40s to near 50.

Through the rest of the week, daytime highs will continue to gradually climb into the upper 70s with no rain expected.

As we get into the weekend, expect breezier conditions as the pressure gradient tightens between high pressure moving off the east coast and a cold front approaching from the west. The timing of the front’s arrival is still a bit uncertain, with models not agreeing on when it will get here.

Long range models show highs ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s depending on the timing of the approaching front. For now, we’re looking at a chance for isolated showers late in the weekend.
