ORLANDO, Fla. – A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued Tuesday for another morning for all east Central Florida counties until 10 a.m., with visibility dropping to as low as a quarter mile or less.
Similar to Monday, visibility should improve slowly, with fog sticking around into lunch along the coast. If you’re driving in the fog, make sure to slow down, use low beam headlights, and keep plenty of distance between you and other cars.
A weak high pressure system will settle over the Florida peninsula, keeping things dry locally.
This afternoon, a weak sea breeze will develop with highs ranging from the upper 70s to mid-80s across the area. Skies will clear out late this afternoon into the evening, but this won’t last long as fog is forecast to redevelop through early Wednesday.
Overnight sea fog will first form over the nearshore waters, causing visibility to drop along the coast as it drifts further inland.
As temperatures dip into the upper 50s to mid-60s overnight. If you’re driving Tuesday night, be prepared for reduced visibility and drive carefully through any fog. Like the last few days, conditions will improve slowly through Wednesday morning.
Looking ahead to through the weekend, the weather pattern should stay pretty consistent, with high pressure sticking around. Rain chances will stay low, under 20%, until next Monday when a weak front could bring a slight chance for rain.
However, models aren’t in full agreement on that, so we’ll keep an eye on it and tweak the forecast as needed. Expect warm conditions with highs in the upper 70s to mid-80s and lows in the upper 50s to mid-60s.
Fog is still likely to develop for the next few mornings, with a few more dense fog advisories through the work week.
