ORLANDO, Fla. – The system that produced a soggy start to the week is moving away, ushering in much drier days ahead.
As the low pressure continues to track eastward into the Atlantic, we’ll see rain chances gradually diminish, especially from northwest to southeast. There may still be some lingering showers behind the system but overall, the wet weather will ease up.
Through Tuesday afternoon, we’ll see some clearing with cloud cover starting to break up as the day goes on. The winds will pick up a bit, gusting 10-15 mph out of the northwest/north, especially along the coast, before they die down Tuesday evening.
If you’re in Volusia or northern Brevard counties, don’t expect temperatures to climb out of the upper 60s to low 70s — those north winds will keep things feeling cooler.
Tuesday night will be chilly, with temperatures dipping into the low to mid 50s for most of the area.
Looking ahead, expect mostly dry weather through mid-week with a few clouds overhead.
A fast-moving cold front will push through Thursday night into early Friday. This one will be fairly dry, so we don’t expect much rain — but it’ll bring cooler air with it.
Temperatures will stay above average in the mid to upper 70s before the front arrives. Once the front clears on Friday, highs will drop into the upper 60s and low 70s. But don’t get too used to it! By the weekend, temperatures will warm back up into the 70s.
Overnight lows will be in the 50s for most of the week, with the coldest mornings being Saturday and Sunday when some spots could dip into the 40s — particularly north of I-4.
