Cooler air settles into Central Florida. Here’s what next week is looking like

Mid-to-late next week, low-pressure system will drag cold front toward our area

ORLANDO, Fla. – A dry cold front has made its way through Central Florida early Friday morning, ushering in a pleasant and sunny stretch of weather.

Expect temperatures to hang around the mid to upper 70s, which is pretty normal for this time of year in east-Central Florida.

However, if you’re along the coast, you’ll experience slightly cooler conditions in the upper 60s. It’s shaping up to be a lovely day with minimal cloud cover, but do be cautious of the moderate risk of rip currents if you’re heading to the beach.

Highs Friday

Friday night, temperatures will dip into the lower to mid-50s and if you’re north of I-4, you might even see the upper 40s.

Saturday Morning Temps

Looking ahead to the weekend and early next week, high pressure will briefly settle in on Saturday followed by another dry cold front on Sunday. This combination will keep conditions dry with temperatures hovering near or slightly below normal.

Expect highs in the 70s and overnight lows mostly in the 50s, though some cooler spots to the north could see the upper 40s again Sunday night.

Temperature Trend

Mid-to-late next week, a low-pressure system will drag a cold front toward our area. Models suggest this front will reach northern parts of our region by Wednesday evening.

Next Front

While the timing and coverage of showers might change, we can expect rain chances to increase mid to late week.

For now, we’ve capped the probability of precipitation at 30-40% for Wednesday into Thursday, with a slight chance of thunderstorms Wednesday evening.

Rain Chances

Ahead of the front, southwesterly winds could push temperatures into the lower to mid-80s on Wednesday afternoon, before cooler, more normal temperatures return.
