ORLANDO, Fla. – As we kick off the week, a high-pressure system is making its presence felt across the area keeping conditions dry and pleasant through the next few days.
Expect weather to stay mostly dry with temperatures reaching the low to mid-70s. It started off a bit chilly Monday morning, with lows in the low to mid-50s, and some areas north and west of I-4 even dipping into the upper 40s.
Tuesday morning will be a bit warmer, thanks to the onshore flow, with lows in the upper 50s inland and low 60s along the coast.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, a cold front is set to move across Central Florida, bringing with it a breezy southwest flow and wind gusts between 25-30 mph.
Rain chances will increase throughout the day, especially along and north of a line from Melbourne to Kissimmee.
The strongest storms could bring frequent lightning, wind gusts up to 60 mph and even some hail. While rainfall amounts are expected to be around 0.25 inches or less, localized strong storms could bring more.
The Storm Prediction Center has highlighted parts of Central Florida under a level 1/5 for strong storms on Wednesday.
Temperatures will rise to the low to mid-80s, making it feel warm and muggy.
As we move into Thursday and beyond, high pressure will build back in, bringing a stretch of dry weather. Thursday will be cooler, with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s, but a warming trend will take us back into the 80s by Saturday.
Another cold front is expected on Sunday, bringing scattered showers and isolated storms, but things should dry out by Monday.
