ORLANDO, Fla. – Wednesday was designated as a Weather Alert Day due to an active weather pattern that impacted our area.
Now that the storms have moved off Florida’s east coast, here’s what’s next for Florida.
Rest of the week:
Thursday: Expect breezy conditions with west to southwest winds continuing to push in a dry air mass.
Temperatures will cool down, with highs only in the mid 60s to lower 70s. There’s no rain expected, but fire weather could be a concern due to the dry conditions and gusty winds.
Friday-Saturday: Another cool morning on Friday, with temperatures dipping into the 40s across most of the region.
Winds will ease up through the day as high pressure builds in, and by the weekend, we’ll warm back up into the mid 70s to low 80s. You can expect dry conditions through Saturday with just a slight chance of showers late Saturday night.
Sunday-Wednesday: We’re still tracking some uncertainty in the forecast for early next week.
A cold front could approach by Sunday, bringing increasing rain chances to 50-60% across the area. We’ll keep an eye on this as model trends develop. Latest forecast calls for temperatures to remain in the 70s to 80s this weekend, then cool off slightly next week with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.
Stay tuned for updates, and be prepared for an active Wednesday with improving weather to round out the week.
