ORLANDO, Fla. – Get ready for a beautiful, sunny Tuesday as high pressure settles in. The only thing you’ll really notice is a bit of a breeze, with northwest winds around 10-15 mph, gusting up to 20 mph until mid-afternoon. If you’re headed outside, be mindful of the dry conditions as the breeze will make us a bit sensitive to fire danger.
Temps will climb into the 70s this afternoon — slightly below average for this time of year. As the wind dies down tonight and the dry air sticks around, expect temps to drop into the mid to upper 40s inland. The Orlando area and the coast will stay a little warmer, dipping into the low 50s.
For the rest of the week, expect a nice stretch of calm weather.
Thursday might bring some clouds and a possible sprinkle, mainly over our northern areas, as a weak disturbance passes by. Otherwise, expect highs to stay in the upper 70s to low 80s through Friday.
By Saturday, temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 80s, and SE winds will pick up a bit, gusting to 15-20 mph in the afternoon.
Next system to watch:
As we head into Sunday, there’s some uncertainty with the timing of an approaching cold front.
Most models suggest it’ll be a slower-moving system, so don’t expect much rain Sunday, with only a slight chance for showers later Sunday night into Monday. We could see a bit of lightning with this front too, but the chances remain low.
Before the front gets here, Sunday looks to be close to the hottest day of the year so far, potentially reaching the upper 80s and possibly pushing a few spots near 90. Monday will cool off a bit, with temps in the 70s to near 80.
