ORLANDO, Fla. – A weak area of low pressure that is hanging out just off the east coast of Florida will keep a few showers around on Wednesday, with increasing winds.
Winds will pick up around late morning, with gusts reaching up to 35 mph in coastal communities.

Although we’re close to Wind Advisory criteria, the chance for sustained gusts over 35 mph is low, so we’re holding off on issuing any advisories for now, but we’ll keep an eye on it.
Along the strong breeze, scattered pockets of rain will quickly speed onshore through the afternoon. With this setup, rain chances remain at 20-30%.

Afternoon temperatures will hold in the mid-70s along the coast, with inland areas staying closer to near normal -- around 80 degrees.
By Friday, winds will shift to the west at 10-15 mph ahead of an approaching front. There’s only a 20% chance of rain and storms as the front moves through Friday night and into Saturday morning, with northern counties having the best shot.
Temperatures will warm through the week into the mid-80s by Friday.
Weekend Outlook
By Saturday, the cold front will move offshore, and high pressure will build across Florida, bringing drier and cooler weather.
Expect cool mornings, especially on Sunday and Monday, with lows in the 50s across most areas, and even dipping into the upper 40s in northern neighborhoods.

Daytime highs will be in the 70s through the weekend, slightly below normal.
But get ready for a warmup early next week. By Monday, highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s, and Tuesday could see temperatures approaching 90 degrees across much of the state.
