Cool start in Florida, but here come the 90s. Check out the Orlando-area forecast

Warm Easter expected across Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – We’re heading into a stretch of abnormally warm spring weather across Central Florida, with conditions staying very dry.

Temp Trend

For the next several days, Central Florida will remain under the influence of high pressure over the Atlantic, meaning we’re locked into a dry pattern through the weekend — no rain in the forecast for now.

The breeze looks to pick up Friday and Saturday as high pressure strengthens. Expect gusts to reach 15-20 mph.

Highs Thursday and Friday should stay near normal, in the low 80s.

But by the weekend, the heat will crank up a bit further, nearing 90 degrees by Easter Sunday.

Easter Sunday

Early next week, models show Central Florida tapping into a little more moisture, thanks to a front entering the Deep South.

This setup could be enough to spark an isolated shower or storm across areas like Volusia, Lake, and Seminole counties — but we’re only talking about a 10-20% chance for now.

Rain Chances Next Week

With the added moisture, highs are forecast to surpass the 90-degree mark.

We may finally see a bit more rain midweek. A more active sea breeze setup could bring a few scattered showers or storms Wednesday and Thursday afternoons — about a 20% chance for now, though models aren’t totally in agreement just yet.
