Burn bans in place; dangerous rip currents expected

Dry grass in Detroit (Dave Bartkowiak Jr.)

ORLANDO, Fla.Warm, dry and breezy conditions remain in place across Central Florida through the rest of the workweek, keeping the fire danger and burn bans in place until further notice.

Fire Danger

If you’re heading to the beach, watch out for dangerous rip currents, especially through Friday, due to our onshore breeze.

If you do venture into the water, make sure to swim near a lifeguard.

Beach Forecast

The east coast breeze will keep temperatures in the low 80s along the coast, with hotter temperatures, near 90 degrees, further inland.

Temp Trend

Get ready for even hotter days ahead as highs climb into the low 90s inland while topping off in the mid-80s along the coast.

Rain Chances Monday

A weak front looks to move into the area late Sunday, bringing a slight chance (20–30%) of showers or a stray thunderstorm through Monday and Tuesday.

After that, things dry out again as high pressure builds back in.
