ORLANDO, Fla. – A few showers move in along the coastline Tuesday morning in Central Florida and could drift further inland through late morning.
Rain chances are low — about 20% — but any storms that do form may bring brief downpours, gusty winds and lightning. Activity should taper off by late afternoon as drier air settles in.
Winds will come from the east, picking up to 10–15 mph in the afternoon and kicking up the surf and the risk of rip currents along Atlantic beaches.
Expect partly cloudy skies during the day and clearing overnight.
Highs will reach the low to mid-80s, with overnight lows in the 60s. Rural spots may dip into the upper 50s.
A ridge of high pressure will keep things dry and mostly sunny through midweek, with highs gradually warming to near 90 degrees in Orlando by Friday.
Moisture is expected to increase heading into the weekend as a weakening front approaches. Rain chances will go up a bit — starting at 20% Friday and reaching 30–50% Saturday through Monday. A few thunderstorms are possible, especially inland. Most rain will taper off each evening.
Monday brings a slight cooldown, with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s as winds shift out of the north.
