CRAZY VIDEO: Watch the moment a tree falls onto a moving car in Florida during Hurricane Milton

Close call for driver captured on Clara Avenue in DeLand

DELAND, Fla. – A DeLand police officer captured video of a driver escaping injury Wednesday when a tree fell on top of a vehicle hours before Hurricane Milton was to make landfall in Florida.

On Facebook, the police department said the officer was driving behind another car on Clara Avenue when the tree “suddenly fell.”

“Thankfully, the drive is OK, but this is a reminder that conditions will continue to deteriorate as Hurricane Milton impacts Florida,” the post reads.

The car’s windshield was heavily damaged by the falling tree.
